What I love About This Not So Traditional Wedding
Location: League City, TX, US
Event Date: May 02, 2016
Summer in Seabrook, Texas means all things fun, hot, and bright! After all, being right on the coast at summertime is many people’s dream! So when you’re planning a summer wedding, why not have some fun with it? This fun in the sun summer styled wedding shoot was all about pops of color, flamingos, and with a vintage touch so keep it elegant. Gone are the days of boring old white china for weddings! We opted for a gorgeous vintage Royal Dalton china (with matching tea set) and with the help of Innovative Linens and Kemah Flower Company, this tablescape came together.
This would be the perfect look if you’re planning on having a brunch nuptials, or a daytime wedding. And what wedding could be complete without a cake? Good Gosh Ganache made the sweetest 3 tiered cake (complete with flamingo bride and groom of course) along with pineapple macrons, and meringues.
Meringues are the perfect accessory for any wedding because of their versatility! You can have them match any color, flavor, or like we did here – pattern them on the bottoms! A fun new way of spicing up your wedding is not going with the traditional white dress. Now, this isn’t for everyone we know, but how fun is this soft pink dress from Prive Couturier? It’s elegant with a bit of fun thrown in and you can picture this bride sashaying and swaying around the dance floor in this gorgeous number. From the Planner: Bringing a little bit of London to Texas, by having a tea party between the palms at the Enchanted Garden Venue. The inspiration for the style shoot was coordinated by Christy Lyons owner of Who’s That Girl? Wedding & Events. When spring comes to Texas, all colors come to bloom. I was inspired by my love for pink and flamingos. I also wanted it to be vintage, and who doesn’t love a delicate tea set and matching china? Using linens from Innovative Linens and Kemah Flower Company’s gorgeous flowers, this elegant yet fun wedding inspiration shoot came to life!
